He serves as Chair of the Innovation Science and Technology Committee, and his past leadership roles, such as Former President of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, underscore his commitment to fostering international business relations. Additionally, Marcelo is actively engaged in advancing innovation ecosystems, evidenced by his roles in various programs and initiatives, such as Toronto Metropolitan University's Science Discovery Zone and the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Innovation Cluster.
